When most women dress up for a night on the town or even for a fancy party or just a dinner date, they often reach for the somewhat classical little black dress. But even more of a classic than the mid-thigh-length little black dress is the long evening dress. Long evening dresses are timeless and incredibly beautiful, and when paired with the right jewelry, cosmetics, and updo, can result in an incredibly stunning and gorgeous view for all of those who encounter you.
A long evening dress tends to offer either a fitted or a more flowing style of skirt, and may even have a train. These are incredibly sophisticated gowns that call for nothing less than eyes played up with dark eyeliner, matte or shimmery eye shadow, and lush mascara, and of course you'll want ruby red or plum lips. Pair a long evening dress with a small, delicately-styled necklace, or skip the necklace altogether and opt for a large pair of glittering earrings. Hair should be worn in an updo to help create the perfect balance with such a long down, and be sure to pack a matching shawl or a shrug in case the evening gets chilly.
