After suffering months of pain to stay in the competition for season 11 of American Idol, Phillip Phillips will once again needs to skip his important kidney surgery.
The 21-year-old idol have a massive stones in his right kidney and was set to go under the knife on Wednesday (May 29), but due to a sinus infection that caused him to have a high fever his doctors advised him to delay the surgery. Phillips' girlfriend Hannah Blackwell took to her Twitter page yesterday to confirm the news writing, "Phillip’s surgery is not tomorrow, He will be fine when it is scheduled and is excited for tour. Thanks for your concern and respect.” Today (May 29) Phillips also expressed his feelings via his social media page tweeting, "Good days, bad days...you're gonna have them."
Phillip Phillips dad told the People Magazine that his son have endured multiple surgeries ever since the competition started a total of eight operations added that "He's hitting 50 percent, but he’s still up there swinging away.”
Once Phillip re-schedules the procedure the recovery will last "probably two to four weeks" according to his father and the proud dad can't wait to see him then saying, "He’s healthy, he’s good. His kidneys are good. I can’t wait for America and the whole world to see him, because he’s a big cut-up. He’s going to have some fun.”
Regardless of the recovery time, the idol winner singer says that nothing will keep him from the "Idol" top 10 tour in July gushing, “I’m not going to be missing anything. I’ll be 100 percent by then, so I’m excited.”
